C&I 200 Observation
Tomorrow (Friday the 23rd) I am doing my first observation with a class. I'm really excited but also a little nervous. It's going to be at Russell Elementary with a class of 4th graders from 9 till 11. I don't know why I'm nervous really because it's not like I have to teach. I guess I just hope that it all goes well and the kids like me. Wish me luck!

I took C&I 200 last semester. I was really nervous to meet my teacher at first. After I got to talking to her though she is really nice and was a lot of help to me. She will be a great mentor!
My first day of observing was really intersting and I was nervous too. However, as the days went by I became a part of the class becasue my teacher involved my as an instructor. If your teacher offers you this jump on it-it's amazing- and if she doesn't ask you to, offer. Most teachers let the people in my class teach if they wanted to.
yeah, I was a little nervous for my first day of observation for C&I 200. The teacher actually was messin' with me by calling me out all the time... probably because I looked nervous! It ended up a GREAT experience and Mr. Haas was a great guy with a good sense of humor.
Everyone is nervous that first day. I bet it went well though. I had some great times and some rough times. During my first field experience, 7th and 8th grade art, my name, Ms. Hornby was on the board. I turned around one day to see that a student had erased the B in my last name and I had to play it off cool and appropriatly, but inside I could have died!
I hope it went well. I was a little nervous my first day observing also but once I got there it was very enjoyable!
it should be a great experience for you. no doubt a little sketchy at first, but if you make the effort to mingle and show interest in the kids, the feedback will be quite rewarding.
I think that the observation classes are the most useful classes that we as educators can take. They are fun and alot can be gained from them.
